The mission of BlackGirlsHack Foundation is to increase representation and empower Black girls and women in the field of information security and cyber security through skills training, mentoring, resume review, and access to low-cost resources in an inclusive environment. The vision of The BGH Foundation is to promote a diverse and inclusive cyber industry where Black women are represented in all levels of cybersecurity, including technical, leadership, and executive roles. BGH Foundation has adopted the tenets of Educate, Empower, Prepare. BGH Foundation’s goal is to establish mentoring, resume review, training, programs, and services which help to provide education, empowerment, and mentorship to help women prepare for a career in cybersecurity. BGH Foundation’s goal is to increase the number of Black Girls and Women in Cybersecurity by providing foundational level cybersecurity training, providing wrap around services such as mentoring, resume review, increasing accessibility of cybersecurity conferences, and to provide an encouraging and supportive environment for Black Women and Girls to pursue careers within the field.
