Chris Inacio

Chris Inacio is the Chief Engineer of the CERT, part of the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) at Carnegie Mellon University where he has worked for 15 years. Prior to serving as the Chief Engineer of the security division, he served various technical management roles including Technical Director and Technical Manager. Prior to working at the SEI, Chris worked for Compunetix, Spinnaker Networks (now part of NetApp), the National Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University, and Texas Instruments. In those various roles, Chris has worked on logic design for ASIC/FPGAs, operating systems, compilers and tooling, JTAG systems, networking acceleration/observation/analysis, robotics systems and simulators, and user and web applications. Chris has a computer engineering degree and computer science minor from Virginia Tech and did further graduate work at Carnegie Mellon focused on superscalar out-of-order processor microarchitecture and dependable embedded systems.
