Steven Martin
Steven Martin is the Chief Information Security Officer for UnitedHealth Group where he overseas security policy, cyber defense, engineering, information security, and emergency response.
Prior to joining UHG via the acquisition of CHNG, Mr. Martin was the Chief Information Officer / Chief Technology Officer for Change Healthcare, responsible for all technology, research, and development across the company. Prior to Change Healthcare, he was the acting Chief Executive Officer for GE Digital and Chief Digital Officer for GE Power, as well as the Chief Commercial Officer for GE Digital. In this position, Steven led the company’s digital industrial strategy with responsibilities in product, service, and solution development, designing new customer experiences and business models across GE.
Before joining GE, Steven spent 14 years at Microsoft, where he held several positions. Most recently, he held the role of General Manager and Chief Data Scientist for Microsoft Azure, leading global operations, customer acquisition, analytics, data science, and service management.
Earlier in his career, he held positions at several tech-related companies, where he was primarily responsible for strategy, engineering, product management, and marketing. He holds a B.S. in behavioral psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and is a lifelong learner of behavioral economics.
