At Mandiant (now part of Google Cloud), we believe “effective security is not based on the security controls deployed, but on the expertise and intelligence behind them”. That is core to our business and we believe it is core to how we as a community must fight against cyber threats. The fight cannot be won by one company or by one individual. Knowledge sharing is essential, and our cybersecurity community must work together.
That is why Mandiant launched Mandiant Worldwide Information Security Exchange (mWISE™), a portfolio of event programming to bring leaders from industry, government and academia together from across the security community to address today’s threat landscape as well as the challenges on the horizon.
The mWISE banner continues the 11-year history of Mandiant Cyber Defense Summit as a gathering for cyber security professionals with a very important change: mWISE is open to the security community. This mWISE event will be vendor neutral and not just for Mandiant customers and partners. We need the collective knowledge of the entire community to prepare for the threats of today and tomorrow.
A second program, mWISE CISO Summit, gathers CISOs from different industries to spark frank conversations and help create a personal network of trusted colleagues. Summit follows Chatham House Rule, and attendance is by invitation and kept small.
